A little regression
The investment profession shares at least one characteristic with young children. Both operate in a highly uncertain world. To young children, each day brings new experiences and new sensations. Sometimes the new catalyses smiles; other times tears. Each day is a big challenge either way. As an antidote to all this, youngsters will often watch the same video, or ask to be read the same book, over and over again. It provides enormous comfort for them to see or hear something where they know the ending.
